Mug cakes are so underrated. They are easy and quick to prepare, plus you can have them at any time of the day, for anyone (meaning only for yourself as well). Don't you agree?
This single-serving cherry mug cake is just the perfect treat when craving dessert. I simply love this concept. I mean look at this.....
General information:
Level: More than easy
Time: 5 min preparation & 25 min baking
Ingredients needed for the cherry mug cake
1/2 banana
2 tbsp of almond powder
2 tbsp of whole flour
1 tsp of baking powder
80 ml of vanilla oat milk
1 piece of dark chocolate (85%)
1 handful of cherries
1 pinch of cinnamon
How to make the cherry mug cake
Start by preheating the oven for the mug cake.
In the meantime, add all the dry ingredients (except the cinnamon) accompanied by the banana in a blender.
Then, pour the milk and blend. If you don't have a blender, a whip will do the job.
Once blended, pour half of the dough into your favorite mug as well as some cherries (cut in half) and the chocolate piece (pairing cherries and chocolate is always a good idea). Pour the rest of the dough and top it all with the remaining cherries.
Let it bake in the oven for 25 minutes at 200° or, for the hungriest ones, put the cherry mug cake into the microwave for 5 minutes. When ready, add the pinch of cinnamon and savor.
