Hello everyone, As promised here is my nutty bars recipe! It's super easy and pretty fast to make you will love them! Bonus? All healthy and downright yummy (smiley). I like having a small snack before or just right after my workout when I work out in the afternoon. But those bars are also very great for breakfast or afternoon snacks (even if not practicing).
Ingredients for approx 8 bars:
2 apples
2-3 pinches of cinnamon
2 handfuls almond
2 handfuls nuts
2 handfuls walnuts
2 cups of oatmeal
1/8 cup of coconut oil
50ml of maple syrup
Pinch of salt
How:
First, you have to mash the apples into applesauce. To do so, cut them in small, add them to a pot with one 1/2 cup of water with a pinch of cinnamon. Let it bake until applesauce texture (approx 10 min). Afterward, put all the nuts and the oatmeal in a blender and blend them all together until little chunks. Cautious, make sure to not blend it too much, you want the bars chunky. Then, mix together the applesauce and the previous blended mixture in a big bowl. Next, pour all of it into a big square dish and make sure to press it. Top it all with your melted coconut oil and maple syrup mixture. Final steps put the plate in the oven for 20 min at 360F (180°). Once ready, remove the plate and let it cool down before cutting into bars (app 30 min). You can either keep the bars in the fridge or in plastic Tupperware in your cupboard. That's it! Enjoy and let me know. :)
Bise,
Math.
